Manila Ocean Park Midnight Sale! A First!

UPDATED
Check my Photo Blog for More photos

So me and my friends will be going to Manila Ocean Park tomorrow for their Midnight Sale Promo. This is a first according to the costumer representative who answered my call for some details. I've been to Manila Ocean Park way back 2009. I can say that during those time, I am not that impressed with the place and that there was nothing much to do unless you have a kid with you who can appreciate the fish and stuff. I had not taken too many pictures that time because all you have is different species of fish. You have a very limited food stalls and restaurant choices. The place was a bit disorganized and misleading, seems like your in a maze. But you know, it WAS. I hope to post a comparison as soon as I can on Sunday under this post. Meanwhile I'll be out and about. Alas!

Ticket Booth

Alright guys! So I've had a great time at Ocean Park last night. The park was jampacked for their midnight sale promo. I mean hell yes if it's 169 pesos from the original 500+ pesos right? Me and three of my friends took the queue for about an hour to get our tickets.

Since 2009, the park had improved a lot structure wise. There's already the mall, the hotel, the facade, some attractions, the ticket booth. You can also find fine dining restaurants, food stalls, more souvenir shops than before and rides for the kids. A free shuttle service was also offered from Ocean Park - TM Kalaw - UN Avenue.

Facade
Apart from these changes, the oceanarium itself hadn't change much. The species of fish where the same and the structure hadn't change. I did not took notes of the species. lol

I am naming this crocodile GELOLONG. From the name of my friend Gelo and the largest crocodile Lolong. haha!

Jhen say's this is the bad nemo. (Mababaw lang talaga ang kaligayahan namin minsan haha)
And the good nemo. :)
This small seahorse aquarium made my night. The description say's Common Seahorse and translated in tagalog as "Kabayo-kabayohan". Like seriously? haha! So Common disease according to Jhen should be translated as "Sakit-Sakitan" and Common people should be "Tau-Tauhan" and then we laughed our asses off so hard. haha!

Mermaid Show

The mermaid show was a bit off for me. The swimming mermaids cannot stand long under the water that they need to get some air every second. The show isn't for me though but for the kids so I understand. Still, the management should notice it because kids nowadays is smarter than we thought they are. The maze like exit is still there.

Meet my friends. haha!

L-R Me, Jhen and Joan

L-R Joan, Jhen and Gelo. Yes our names really starts with sounds alike. (Mine starts with J too!)

For the serious matter, I think the management of the park should impose a strict rule that prohibits visitors to use camera flashes at all times. There are a lot of reminders inside the area to not use camera flash but some visitors are just too busy to mind it and I on the other hand had struggled to use the manual mode of my camera to avoid using the flash. Besides let's put ourselves in this poor living things shoes, imagine living in a totally different habitat. We are already violating their right to live in their natural home fellas, let's not violate it more just for an hour of entertainment.
